The company
Josef Anton MEGGLE I set up his cheese-making business some 120 years ago. Since then, our rural business has grown into a large commercial enterprise with an industrial and international focus. In 2002 the company group was restructured.
MEGGLE AG was created as the holding company of the group. Our production sites, branches and sales offices span from Germany, our core market, across Europe, North and South America and all the way to Japan. In 2006 the company recorded a group turnover of EUR 560 million. Currently, about 1,600 employees work for the MEGGLE group of companies.
