A life for MEGGLE – Vision and responsibility through the ages

At the age of just 29, Toni Meggle (†) became a co-partner in the company based in Wasserburg am Inn in Upper Bavaria, alongside his father. Only a few years later, he took over sole management of the business. Under his visionary leadership, the dairy, which initially operated on a regional basis, developed into an international brand and renowned corporation.

Toni Meggle resolutely drove forward the internationalization of the company. New production sites and sales offices were established in Dubai, Eastern Europe, and Japan, among other places. His visionary outlook is particularly noteworthy: MEGGLE was the first Western company in the dairy industry to operate independently in Japan. The MEGGLE brand quickly became known worldwide and has since stood for quality, tradition, and innovation. Today, MEGGLE Holding SE is an internationally active company with more than 2,600 employees, sales of around 1.4 billion euros, and 21 companies and sales offices around the world.

With foresight and responsibility, Toni Meggle established the foundation named after him in 2019 to secure the long-term independence of the company in a sustainable manner. The transfer of the company to the foundation was an expression of his tireless commitment to preserving MEGGLE as an independent company for future generations.

Until his death, Toni Meggle shaped the management and further development of the MEGGLE Group as Chairman of the Foundation Board with his experience and entrepreneurial acumen. At his side was his wife Marina Meggle, who supported him as Deputy Chairwoman of the Foundation Board with her energy and strategic vision. Marina Meggle was his closest advisor and made a decisive contribution to the positive development of MEGGLE.

Together, Toni and Marina Meggle laid the foundation for a stable, innovative, and successful future for the MEGGLE Group. With the death of Toni Meggle, he leaves behind an impressive life’s work, which Marina Meggle will continue with passion and determination as the new Chairwoman of the Foundation.
