MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award 2023: award ceremony

The MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award was also awarded this year. In the presence of numerous guests, the three winners from southeastern Upper Bavaria accepted the prize offered by the MEGGLE Group. The keynote speaker and guest of honor for the entrepreneurial couple Marina and Toni Meggle was the renowned politician Wolfgang Bosbach.

The MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award 2023 was awarded on October 27, 2023 under the motto “Advancing ideas together.” For the ninth time, numerous guests from politics and society came together to honor innovative and successful founders from the southeastern Upper Bavaria region in the historic town hall of the city of Wasserburg am Inn.

Moderated by Alexander Mazza and accompanied by enthusiastic applause from the guests present, the three prize winners accepted the checks worth a total of 50,000 euros in prize money and the associated MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award trophy.

InnFactory GmbH from Rosenheim took first place this year. The software company around the three founders Tobias Jonas, Anton Spöck and Maximilian Grassl has been very successfully developing digital, cloud-based products since 2017. The start-up covers all future topics with big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Second place went to Inzell in the Traunstein district. Christine Paschen is the owner of TaTeeTaTa. Their main product is high-quality teas and tea blends, which are used in exclusive product packaging as gifts or lifestyle items. The online shop is an important sales tool. The jury rated product innovations and strong customer orientation as particularly positive.

The Bauchgfui Berchtesgaden landed in third place in the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award 2023. The founders Susanne and Stefan Kraus run a restaurant in Berchtesgaden and place particular emphasis on regional, healthy cuisine. With a well-thought-out marketing strategy, the owners of the Bauchgfui achieved great popularity in the region and thus also gained many new customers. The founders particularly live by the aspect of sustainability, including through a cooperation with a manufacturer of reusable boxes.

Traditionally, a prominent speaker is invited to the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award. Wolfgang Bosbach, member of the Bundestag from 1994 to 2017 and long-time chairman of the Interior Committee, was the guest of honor. He explained why, in times of multiple crises and challenges, education, research and innovation should enjoy particular importance.
