Emergency aid for the earthquake areas
The MEGGLE Group provided quick and easy financial support to the areas in Turkey and Syria affected by the devastating earthquakes.
MEGGLE CEO Matthias Oettel and Director Communication, Culture & Integration, Felix Raslag, ordered a payment of 40,000 euros to be made to Aktion Deutschland Hilft eV on behalf of the company. A further 4,500 euros were raised in a separate fundraising campaign by MEGGLE employees, organised by the works council.
Tens of thousands of people died or were injured in the devastating earthquakes in the affected areas of Turkey and Syria. Houses, streets and entire cities were destroyed. Urgent emergency relief measures – in particular the supply of clean drinking water, medicine and clothing – had already begun.
