MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award 2025: award ceremony

In the historic town hall of Wasserburg, MEGGLE Group GmbH honored innovative and successful entrepreneurs from the southeastern Upper Bavaria region—for the eleventh time this year. Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts Markus Blume was the keynote speaker at the award ceremony and guest of honor of the entrepreneurial couple Marina and Toni Meggle. The 2025 award winners came from three different districts.
Three remarkable applicants from southeastern Upper Bavaria were awarded the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award on October 24 in the historic town hall of Wasserburg am Inn. The award ceremony took place for the eleventh time this year and was held under the motto “Advancing ideas together.” The event was hosted by television presenter Eva Grünbauer. In addition to total prize money of €75,000, the winners can look forward to a great deal of attention and a strong network.
First place and 35,000 euros went to SauRiassl GmbH in Altötting. The company is a solidarity-based network of communal and ecological housing projects in southeastern Upper Bavaria. The combination of association and limited liability company was founded in 2018 when the first communal residential building was purchased. Today, the network comprises seven housing projects, a sharing concept, and its own energy concept. The jury was particularly impressed by how this project specifically addresses current challenges such as housing shortages and renovation backlogs.
VANRIDING GbR takes second place in the 2025 MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award. For founders Oliver and Manuela Zimmermann, this means prize money of
25,000 euros. With the “Z-Saggerl,” the Berchtesgadener Land-based company develops and produces sustainable waste and storage solutions for camping and travel vehicles – functional, durable, and environmentally conscious.
Third place and 15,000 euros went to Clever One GmbH from Rosenheim. Since 2017, the founding team of Stephan Rüttenauer, Georg Hartl, Michael Hartl, and Karl-Albert Denk has been working to modernize the funeral industry with digital solutions. After around five years of development work, the CleverOne software was successfully launched in December 2022. This digital platform combines all steps of the funeral process in a central, user-friendly portal.
Bavaria’s Minister of Science Markus Blume congratulated the award winners and emphasized: “Many thanks to Toni and Marina Meggle for their outstanding commitment to innovation from the region, for the region! The Meggle company and family exemplify entrepreneurial spirit with vision and responsibility – we need more of that in our state.” With this year’s 11th MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award ceremony, MEGGLE has distributed a total of €600,000 in prize money since the initiative began. The MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award has established itself as a permanent institution in southeastern Upper Bavaria and shows how regional companies can be sustainably promoted through innovative ideas and strong networks.
