MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award 2026: award for enterpreneurial spirit

HW Metall GmbH from Buchbach, along with BBGT GmbH and DeepSynergy.AI GmbH from Rosenheim, are the winners of the 2026 MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award. At the twelfth awards ceremony held on October 9 in the historic town hall in Wasserburg am Inn, MEGGLE Holding SE honored three innovative companies from southeastern Upper Bavaria with a total of 75,000 euros.
First place and 35,000 euros went to HW Metall GmbH. Founders Michael Hausperger and Michael Waldinger manufacture custom steel loft doors and windows. Their approach combines personalized consultation and planning with digital design, standardized processes, and in-house manufacturing and installation. This results in custom-made solutions of consistent quality—entirely “Made in Germany.” The jury particularly commended the combination of craftsmanship, efficient process thinking, and modern design.
BBGT GmbH was awarded 25,000 euros for second place. Founder and CEO Lars Peuker develops test kits for beverage manufacturers that allow them to check the microbiological quality of their products themselves, without the need for an external laboratory. These easy-to-use and cost-effective solutions help identify signs of microbiological contamination at an early stage, thereby helping to prevent product recalls and risks to consumers. The offering is complemented by laboratory testing, operational consulting, and expert reports.
Third place and 15,000 euros go to DeepSynergy.AI GmbH. Dominik Eibl and Matthäus Niedermeier are developing an AI-powered solution for planning and controlling complex production processes. Among other factors, the application takes into account delivery dates, material and personnel availability, machine bottlenecks, inventory levels, and setup and cleaning requirements. In this way, the solution supports industrial companies in making well-informed planning decisions—even under significant time pressure.
Separate from the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award MEGGLE presented the MEGGLE Special Award for the first time. The award went to the Westerwelle Foundation. While the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award strengthens entrepreneurial spirit in southeastern Upper Bavaria, the foundation creates opportunities for founders in Africa, Asia, and Latin America through programs and startup hubs.
The award ceremony was held under the motto “Advancing Ideas Together” and was moderated by Eva Grünbauer. Wolfgang Kubicki, chairman of the FDP, delivered the keynote address on “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises as Anchors and Innovation as Drivers of the Social Market Economy.” In addition to the prize money, the MEGGLE Young Enterprise Award offers the winning companies visibility and access to a strong regional network.
